Quaintest Place in All New England, Full of History and Charm. Restaurant & Tavern, Lunch, Dinner. Reservations and major credit cards accepted. Weddings, Banquets, Conferences, Function Rooms Available. Menu is American and Continental Cuisine. Built in 1640, 20 years after the pilgrims landed, in the town of Ipswich, founded in 1633. The house, originally one-room, was the home of the town's first selectman, Thomas Hart. A tanner, Hart built the house about a quarter-mile from the center of town. The house is one of the oldest in the country.
